All orders are shipped from our distribution hub in Columbus, Ohio.

International: DHL

USA: We offer free shipping for all bags in the USA. We also offer expedited shipping options, available to view at checkout.

UPS is our courier for all shipments in the USA.

International: All costs for international shipments are calculated at checkout.

DHL is our international courier. 

Please allow 1–2 business days for order processing. It’s typically quicker, but we’re a popular brand.

All orders ship from Columbus, Ohio. You may choose your preferred shipping method at checkout, including Expedited and Overnight options.

If an item is out of stock, we will be restocking shortly. You may also Pre-Order out-of-stock items and sign up for restock notifications.

If you did not receive an order confirmation:

• You may have entered an incorrect email• Your order may not have processed

Please contact us via the Contact Us page or email help@thesmartbag.com, and we’ll assist you.

We ship quickly. If you email us within 1 hour of purchase, we may be able to cancel your order.

If your order has already shipped, you may return it upon delivery. Return shipping costs apply. Refunds are issued minus shipping costs and a $20 restocking fee.

Discount codes must be applied at checkout. We cannot apply codes retroactively.

Yes. Tracking details are emailed within 1–2 business days once fulfilled.

Yes, we ship worldwide.

The Smart Bag is not responsible for shipments sent to incorrect addresses provided by customers.

If your package is delayed or lost, contact:

We are not responsible for carrier-related issues, customs delays, or theft.

All Smart Bags include a 1-Year Limited Technology Warranty.

RETURNS & WARRANTY

You have 30 days from order confirmation to return your unused bag in original condition for a full refund.

Used, damaged, or misused items are not eligible.

All The Smart Bag products include a 1-year limited warranty covering:

• Fingerprint lock• GPS hardware• Internal electronics• Battery and charging components• Wiring and circuitry

If a defect occurs, we will repair or replace the technology (shipping excluded).

AFTER 1 YEAR

Out-of-warranty technology repairs are available for a flat $125 fee plus shipping.

THE SMART BAG TECHNOLOGY FAQs

Open the The Smart Bag App → Dashboard → Fingerprints.

Follow on-screen instructions to scan your fingerprint 5 times.

Delete fingerprints by selecting and pressing DELETE.

Open the app → Pair Screen → Press “Pair Bag”.

If it doesn’t appear, press the fingerprint sensor on the bag and try again.

Once connected, access your Dashboard to manage features.

If battery power is fully depleted, the lock will automatically unlock, allowing access before recharging.

Use the included USB-C cable and connect to any compatible charging source

The Smart Bag technology is designed and manufactured in the USA and Canada.

Visit Lockus if interested in licensing our technology.

Activate via the Dashboard toggle in The Smart Bag App.

If Bluetooth range is breached:

• Alarm sounds on bag and phone• Notifications are sent

Press STOP ALERT or use a saved fingerprint to deactivate.

Use the GPS feature in The Smart Bag App.

Do NOT pursue a thief alone. Contact local authorities.

The Smart Bag is not responsible for loss or theft.

Fingerprint enclosure is water resistant. Leather exterior should be kept dry.

No battery required.

SLASH-RESISTANT FAQ's

Our zipper features:

• Dual-coil overlap• Steel wire core• POM resin body• Anti-intrusion structure

Not fully cut-proof but significantly more resistant than standard zippers.

Provides deterrence but not 100% cut-proof under extreme force.
